Below is a listing of several events. There will be an opening reception, golf and tennis events, along with a clambake and formal banquet. Register for the events.
Floral Class
Based on 20 Guests
Your will have “hands on experience” with the Ritz Carlton floral staff to learn how to design their choice of topiaries made of either roses or hydrangeas. The floral staff will begin by telling them fun facts about the florals regarding the flowers used at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island as well as decorating tips to be used in their own homes. In addition to the lecture the ladies will gain a greater knowledge of how to quickly arrange roses, easy way to set dining room tables with flowers, and then begin the “hands on experience” of making topiaries.
The finished product can be displayed in the home, used functionally or for a special occasion. Guests may take home their floral presentation if they choose to do so. This class will take approximately 2.5 hours.
$85.00 per person with a 12-person minimum and 25 person maximum
Floral Class Agenda:

1) Where the flowers come from
2) What different countries are involved
3) How to care for the flowers
4) What the floral department provides
Demonstration:
1) How to easily arrange roses
2) Simple ways to set dinning room tables with flowers
3) How to make topiaries
Hands on experience making topiaries to take home
with the florists instruction and assistance.

South Fernandina Beach Tour
A Guided Walking Tour of North Fernandina Beach Historic District. Relax for a moment with your Docent as you listen to the fascination history of the island in the 1859 Classical Revival First Presbyterian Church. Discover how the twin forces of one man with a dream, and the Civil War shaped Fernandina's extraordinary history, lifting the town and its fortunate residents into a 19th century Golden Age. Then visit the phenomena of a historic residential block, the "silk-stocking district". These handsome Victorian houses were built one century ago defining the era, are still home to the descendants of the original families. You will stop at Moorish Revival St. Michael's Catholic Church for the story of Maria Mattair before arriving at the handsome, honey-colored Villa Las Palmas, built as a breathtaking gift by N.B. Borden for his bride in 1910.

ST. AUGUSTINE TOUR
Discover St. Augustine - the nation's oldest city! Menendez de Aviles, Spain's most experienced admiral arrived off the coast of Florida on August 28, 1565, the Feast Day of St. Augustine. Eleven days later he and his 600 soldiers and settlers came ashore at the site of the Timucuan Indian Village of Seloy with banners flying and trumpets sounding. He hastily fortified the fledgling village and named it St. Augustine. St. Augustine was founded forty-two years before the English colony at Jamestown, Virginia, and fifty-five years before the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. Much of its exciting history has been preserved for you to relive. Your may tour the city via trolley or walk historical St. George Street lined with quaint shops and authentic Spanish-Colonial homes.

HORSEBACK RIDING
Enjoy the thrill of horseback riding Oceanside! Your guide will lead you along the beach and over a trail through the dunes. You will enjoy the southern most part of Amelia Island, which is noted for its natural setting. Take your horse up to the water's edge and into the waves. Even non-horsemen will enjoy this unique activity. The transfer to the stables takes approximately fifteen minutes. The ride is five miles, which takes approximately one hour and fifteen minutes
There is a 230 pound weight limit, the height requirement is 4'l0" and riders must be at least l2 years of age. An adult must accompany anyone under l8. Weight and ability (beginner, intermediate or advanced) of each rider is requested upon confirmation of activity.
$90.00 per person. There is a ten-person maximum
